Spaces that have a measure of poetry or character entrance you in some way. They allow the mind freedom to wander; they’re memorable and lyrical.

Over 10 years we’ve noticed Bijl projects increasingly called to explore the juxtapositions between light, colour, form, and utility. Increasingly, artisans join us on this journey.

At Stealth House, tectonic geometries gift folds and ever-changing shadows and compositions.

The ‘intentional irregularity’ of Naremburn House informs the ‘De-Form Wall’, a unique sculptural wall installation designed in collaboration with parametric designers, @AR-MA.

Doorzien - “see-through” in Dutch – is a sensory project explored through an interplay of light, solid and void, beautifully interpreted by architecture trained ceramist @NatalieRosin and her finely-tuned Kirribilli Tapestry.

We look forward to ten more years of projects that optimistically explore the act of moving through and inhabiting space as humans, with grace.
