What better way to follow our Doorzien House August feature in ArchDaily, than with a merit award at the 2018 Master Builders Association of NSW Excellence in Housing Awards.
We’re incredibly proud of our partners at SKOPE Constructions, who faced stiff competition with over 400 entries across the categories, to take home the award on Saturday. The MBA Awards is one of the biggest annual events on the building industry calendar, recognising quality, skill, innovation and fine detailing in building and construction.
Announcing the award in the House Additions/Alternations/Renovations category at the Star Event Centre in Pyrmont, the jury noted:
“These alterations and additions to a semi-detached dwelling were characterised by complex site excavation and drainage, extensive structural-steel work, and the additional challenge of protecting the attached dwelling adjacent. The builder overcame these obstacles to produce a beautifully detailed execution of a demanding and elegant design. A most impressive result.”
We congratulate the Skope team, John Carolan and Peter Zammit, clients Sharon and Bob, and all the winners from Saturday’s gala event.
